you know when things don't turn out the way you expect them to? usually every day is so mundane, nothing going on, but then there are certain things that happen that surprise you. i guess that's why people say they don't like surprises.

i think i still do. i can't control these circumstances anyways.

i'm actually excited about starting lab next summer and next year. I'll be a grad student! It's so weird, being a part of that group. In Stanford, we used to call them "those sketchy grad students". Now I'm going to be one. Just don't let me buy clogs... the ultimate lab shoe. I think I'm destined to own a pair tho. Maybe I can get a cute pair.
