thank God it's a three day weekend! I'll have tomorrow to study. ;) I really needed to catch up on my sleep this weekend, this past week was a hairy week for some reason (I think the two 8 AM classes in a row on thurs and fri tipped me over the brink). not healthy. i don't know how i'm going to be able to do surgery rotations starting at 4 am.

going to watch shrek 2, and bake some cookies for a memorial bbq that i'll probably drop by tomorrow. i miss baking, i should do it more often.

i rediscovered anthropologie yesterday, I really like their clothes. I think some stuff is over the top, but some of their stuff is really cute, even their home decorations. very girly and feminine.

dreaming of summer vacation. can't wait to go travel, and visit beijing for the first time. my sis and i are already planning on going to the pearl market, see the great wall, the old summer palace, and get foot massages every night.

schoolwork hasn't been bad these days, but somehow, I don't get home til really late at night. i think i'm a homebody at heart.

so many birtdays these days. happy 23rd to randie! it's a good year. ;) i used to think 24 was so old... i was fine with 23 but got really scared of 24, not sure why. it just sounded old. happy 13th birthday to my cousin, janel, too. it's not the best year, but it will pass. :) reminds me of 13 going on 30. watching that movie just reminded me how mean kids are, and how important popularity is. it's too bad we don't get two chances at life, like jenna did. i'm sure there are so many things we'd do differently if we could rewind and re-do things.

8 am class tomorrow morning. bleh. i guess we're lucky most of our classes start at 10 am, the important ones start at 11. :D (which is when i usually make it.)

a topic that's been on my mind lately: weddings. no, not my own, i think it's too far off to think about that. two of my friends have weddings on their minds - one friend just got married a few days ago in Korea. She had over 1,000 guests... can you imagine the costs?? Apparently there was only one building big enough in Seoul to accomodate that many people, I guess aside from stadiums, and it also happens to be the most expensive (the Coex ballroom). And they also had a four course meal - with seafood and steak, steak in Korea! It's so expensive there, and to feed 1,000 people? wow. my sister went to her wedding, and she said so many ppl got drunk. I don't think I want that at my wedding. Guests (not my sister :) were requesting waiters to leave several bottles of wine at their table and the like. ... not good. Well, I hope it's true what they say, big weddings pay for themselves... anyways, she was my age. and another friend of mine getting married next month, who's younger than me! i think she's more mature than me tho. :D it'll be fun to attend her wedding, my second wedding ever. the first one i went to was erin and eddie's wedding - and the entire Korean UCSD community was there, people I hadn't seen in years. It was a beautiful love story though, of how they got together.

hm, is anyone checking this blog site now? it doesn't seem like it, but now i'm tempted to change back to blogspot after checking out xanga, due to the fact that i can now post pics. blogspot's getting cooler!! better templates now too, for computer-incompetent ppl like me. hm, what to do...
