i just fixed my garbage disposal!! i accidentally sent down three galbi bones (i know, dumb, but it was buried in some other things so I didn't see it) and it took me a while, but i fixed it. i thought i really broke it when i started to smell burning and the disposal got really hot, thought maybe i blew a fuse? it's so empowering, fixing the garbage disposal by myself! i felt like i had advanced women's rights or something. :D i am woman, hear me ROAR!

jen emailed us today, from another distant part of the world, phuket in thailand. she sounds like she's having a fabulous time, eating well and laying out on beaches. apparently she got to see the place where "The Beach" was filmed, i think it's an island called Phi Phi. she also said she saw monkeys in trees! awesome, can't wait to see her pictures. it beats having to study for finals. no, i'm not bitter. not one bit.

finals next week - more than that though, I can't believe we just had our last class of our first year of med school today. It was on neuroimaging. I'm not so crazy about fMRI (results are SO fuzzy on fMRI and it's hard to interpret results from fMRI) but a nice way to end the year.

i ALMOST got to see harry potter today... so close, within reach! but i was not meant to see it. it's ok, need to study for finals anyways. today, i took care of my car - gave my car (he? she?) an oil change, filled her up with gas, and gave her a car wash. so it's clean, inside AND outside. i got paranoid after passing the mileage for an oil change, i kept on imagining clumps of oil getting lodged into my engine...

looking forward to summer break!! wish i could just skip over next week.
