today's experiment = disappointing. not extremely so but still disappointing. will have to wait to repeat it on sunday. at least the answer wasn't that my hypothesis was thrown out the window so there's still hope.

it's still so frustrating - i remember when i worked full time, my mentor used to say that the advice that in science, you get your kicks out of little successes. she was right.
